2026 Handover Dinner
The Howth/Sutton Lions Club marked the end of two years of excellent stewardship under the Presidency of Ena Ronan with a dinner in the Asgard Room in the Howth Yacht Club. During her time Ena lead the fundraising which saw us support Howth Meals on Wheels, Howth Lifeboat, Raheny Hospice and Aoibhnes to name but a few. Also she managed to finally have the Howth/Sutton Lions Club welcome signage.
Ena handed over the chain of office to Tony Bond who will serve as president for the 2026/2027 term. Tony has been a member of the club for over 6 years, serving as PRO and Marketing Officer and was responsible for technology and social media updates for the club. Tony thanked Ena for her sterling work in leaving the club in great condition going forward. Tony's mission as President is to continue to serve the the communities of Howth, Sutton, Baldoyle and Raheny by addressing local needs, supporting vulnerable groups, and fostering a spirit of volunteerism and fellowship.
Tony also wants to improve the recognition of Howth Sutton Lions Club in these communities and to make it the most trusted and active service organisation in North Dublin. It is also an urgent priority to increase the membership and to try to make it more attractive to a younger member base.
Northern Ireland - XR 90123 Howth Lions Club is a Non Profit Volunteer and Service Organisation delivering services for the benefit of the
community, the needy and less well off in society. Due to changes in legislation the Club is not a registered charity under the Charities Act 2009.
The Club has commenced the process to register as a charity under the Act and in the meantime are covered under the above charity number.
