Our Annual walk which took place on 24 June to raise funds towards purchasing a new bus for the pupils of Abacus, the school for autistic children, and for our other Club services/projects.
ABACAS Kilbarrack is a co-educational, evidence-based school for autistic children and young adults. ABACAS Kilbarrack was founded in 2001 by a group of dedicated parents who wanted evidence-based education for their autistic children. In the intervening years, the school has grown and flourished. In 2011, the school achieved special school status with the Department of Education and it continues to grow and expand. In 2014 they opened an Early Intervention class for 3-5 year olds.
The club would like to thank all those who walked and also all those who sponsored the walkers.
